International Alternative Investment Review (IAIR) is a global independent research institute based in Milan focused on alternative investments. It's AWARDS are one on of the worlds leading awards for excellence in asset and wealth management having been held in New York, Sao Paulo, Milan, Hong Kong and London. Winners are selected by a judging panel from an on-line survey of over 50,000 readers.

AFR Smart Investor awards are assessed by an independent expert panel. National Awards for Innovation presented by the then Prime Minister the Hon. R.J. Hawke in 1986 for local government in a joint venture between La Trobe Financial and Moe City Council tendering valuable banking services and arranging an additional $12 million in home loan finance for circa. 300 new residents in the municipality as conceived by La Trobe Financial founder Mr. Ray O'Neill, Shire President Bob Pugsley and Shire CEO Mr. Peter Lerstang.
The award was personally awarded by Hon. R.J. Hawke. The National Awards recoqnise, reward and promote the innovative work across Australia.
Fund Ratings:
Australia Ratings is the only credit rating agency in Australia which holds a retail Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) issued by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) meaning that it is the only ratings agency in Australia licensed to issue credit ratings on debt securities and products offered to retail investors in Australia.

Found in 1973 by securities analyst A.Michael Lipper and taken over by Reuters in 1998. Funds are rated on a numeric scale of 5 to 1 with '5' representing funds with the highest rating. Lipper metrics, Total Return, Consistent Return, Preservation, Tax efficiency (US only) and expense all compared to similar funds within a peer group.
Lipper Ratings rates the La Trobe Fund as a ‘3 for Consistent Return’ (Classic 48 Hour Account) ... "on the basis that the Classic 48 Hour Account aims to provide Investors with a reasonably stable and predictable income based on a monthly variable rate of return, investing in loans secured by mortgages including, in some cases, aged care and reverse mortgage loans, cash, term deposits, bonds issued by a state or federal government or an Australian financial institution, negotiable certificates of deposit and bank bills, retaining higher cash than other Accounts in the Fund.
