La Trobe Financial, Australia’s leading alternative asset manager, today announced its inclusion in The Australian’s prestigious Top 50 Best Places to Work list. The recognition comes as a result of the company’s two-year journey of unwavering commitment to employee engagement and satisfaction under the leadership of CEO, Mr Chris Andrews.

“La Trobe Financial is honoured to be recognised as one of Australia’s Employers of Choice and remains committed to fostering a positive and engaging work environment for all employees.” said CEO Mr Chris Andrews.

To determine the Top 50, The Australian commissioned WorkL, a renowned UK firm specialising in Employee Engagement, to conduct a comprehensive cross-industry survey. Over 200 La Trobe Financial employees participated in the survey, which evaluated various aspects of workplace strategies and employee happiness. The survey results highlight La Trobe Financial’s exceptional performance in maintaining a highly engaged workforce

In order to secure a Top 50 ranking, the company ranked highly with a minimum score of 70% on the WorkL employee engagement score. Additionally, La Trobe Financial scored ‘strongly’ across all six key drivers of Reward & Recognition, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Wellbeing, Instilling Pride, and Job Satisfaction.

Being recognised as one of Australia’s Employers of Choice is a significant milestone for the company who firmly believes that highly engaged staff are instrumental in attracting and retaining top talent, ultimately contributing to its overall success.

Speaking of the recognition, Chief People and Marketing Officer, Annie Sestito stated, “we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our people leaders and their unwavering dedication and commitment in achieving this remarkable accolade. It is their focus on nurturing and supporting the company’s most valuable resource, our people, that has been instrumental in this achievement.

Additionally, as a company, we have focussed our efforts on enhancing the employee experience and provided invaluable support to leaders across the organisation. We have made improvements to our on-boarding and off-boarding processes, general HR procedures, and ensured equal opportunities for all employees to grow their careers and make a difference with us. We are thrilled that the market recognises these efforts and align us within the Top 50 best places to Work.
